Somewear: Sail to Sable!

My girlfriend who used to work at Lucky mag with me just started a new business called Sail to Sable. Raised by the water in Darien, Connecticut, she grew up visiting the beaches down the East Coast which is perfect, because Sail to Sable refers to the Easternmost and Southernmost spots on the Eastern Seaboard: Sail Rock, Maine and Cape Sable, Florida. Her collection includes tunics, placemats, napkins and pillows- all can be mixed and matched and are perfect for summer!  This adorable tunic (along with “Lively Lime”) are all on sale now in celebration of the holiday.  Just enter JULY4 at checkout!  Now, go shopping and have a safe and happy 4th!!

Somewear: Wine Tour Through Tuscany

We stayed in Lucca last night and this morning we’re being picked up by a local tour company for a wine tasting day throughout the Tuscany region!  It will be cooler in the morning then should warm up in the afternoon, so layers are essential.  Also, as I’ve said before, a few tastes can equal a few glasses, so flat sandals and berry colored tones can help ease any spills that may occur.

VIP Tents at the Santa Barbara Polo Club

My girlfriend, Betsy, will be working as a vendor in the tents this weekend, selling new and vintage designer jewelry.  She needs to look sharp and stylish, but somewhat basic in order to model various jewelry pieces throughout the day.  I love the color red, because it not only looks great with her hair, but with any type of jewelry she’s bound to put on.

Somewear: Yacht in the Mediterranean Off the Coast of Your New Greek Island

I hear, Greek Islands are getting cheaper by the day. I’ve asked my husband to look into getting one for us, but I’m not sure he’s taking me seriously. For now I’ll just stare at this picture and day dream.

    Somewear: Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic

A few people I know are attending this match on Sunday in New York.
Though in the UK, hats aren’t worn during traditional polo matches,
in the US it’s more than ok; it’s practically required.  It’s all about
looking leisurely and pristine, so carry with you a lightweight scarf even
if you won’t need it.  You can dangle it behind you which will give you
an even more carefree appearance.  And, of course, do your
research ladies: Marc Jacobs is one of the co-hosts, so dress to impress!

    Somewear: Birthday Party Picnic

So, you’re a little overdressed to really frolic in the park, but listen-
you’re the birthday girl, so dressing down is out of the question.  But
you’re not completely impractical: a hat for the shade and flats for
the grass.  Plus, I’m sure you’ll be offered the VIP luggage seats,
    anyway.
