Pre-Thanksgiving Day Kitchen Prep!

It’s time to start baking and prepping for the big feast.  Now just because you’re going to be in the kitchen all day doesn’t mean you can’t look adorable.  I’m obsessed with the Anthro aprons, mits, and pot holders.  You can’t go wrong with any of them.  Spin your hair into a quick bun, throw on a soft tunic, and make sure to clean your hands, because it’s gonna get dirty!  Happy cooking!

What to Wear When: Commuting in the Rain

We’ve all done it.  When we see it pouring rain outside, we just give up on any idea of looking cute, but it is achievable, if you just arm yourself with the right fashion tools.  It’s key to have a good looking pair of rain boots and an umbrella that doesn’t suck.  I love this trench, because it’s outerwear that looks like "inner-wear".  Plus, unlike so many trench coats out there, it doesn’t leave you looking like you're signing up to join the militia; it is very feminine and flattering.  Also, when raining, just embrace the fact that your hair won’t look exactly right; wear a loose and messy braid with a cute hair accessory.  See- commuting in the rain can be fun!

Somewear: Matinee to See “Anything Goes”

The loose draping of this dress slightly reminds me of the fashion worn in the 1930’s, and since Anything Goes takes place during that time period, I feel like it’s an appropriate fit for seeing the show today.  I always dress up for the theatre and believe that everyone else should do the same!
