Nifty Shades of Grey

Where to Wear: Nifty Shades of Grey
I’m predicting this best-seller from E.L. James will bring about a new kind of life to the color grey similar to what the movie “Sideways” did for Pinot Noir wines everywhere.  Of course, I haven’t actually read the book, but I’m assuming it’s about a fashion designers obsession with monochromatic colors.  No?

Somewear: Hump Day (AKA Another Wednesday)

Somewear: Hump Day (AKA Another Wednesday)
You can never have too many hump days!  That’s because one comes around every week!  I thought I’d do another Hump Day look to get us through, yet another Wednesday!

Somewear: Firm Christmas Party

My husband’s firm’s Christmas party is this weekend and I need a little sequins number.  I mean, what are the holidays without some sparkle?  These colors combined make a dramatic statement, but they are not so dramatic that they steal focus.  (It is technically my husband’s party after all.  I just hope to be his best looking accessory!)

Somewear: Private Preview of the Jean Paul Gaultier Exhibition

Somewear: Private Preview of the Jean Paul Gaultier Exhibition
I’m super excited for tonight’s cocktail party at the Dallas Museum of Art.  This is the first exhibition devoted to Gaultier, the haute couture designer who has long been known as the “enfant terrible” of French fashion. I’m proud to say that Dallas is the first of only two U.S. cities on the international tour. Tonight I’ll get to see highlights from Gaultier’s couture and RTW collections dating back to the early 1970s and ending in 2010.

Somewear: Wine Country Wedding

The colors, the shape, the movement that this dress beholds is just breathtaking and it's screaming take me to a breezy vineyard in the Northern hills of California.  The dress says so much that only glamorous subtlety is needed to complete this outfit: neutrals and golds.
