Somewear: Chicago (The Musical) at The Winspear Theatre

Going to see an oldie, but a goodie tonight.  Chicago’s in Dallas!  Of course, you know that I’ll be dressing up for the show- jeans just aren’t meant for the theatre.

If you’re in the Dallas area:
the show is running from now until the 26th of August, so hurry before it’s gone! Tickets here!

If you aren’t in the Dallas area: go see a show, anyway!  The theatre is good for your soul.  Also, it gives you an excuse to look fabulous.  Though I’m sure if you follow STB, you already do ;)

Somewear: Birthday Lunch with the Girls

Today is my girlfriend, Daniella’s, birthday.  January babies always get the shaft, but the girls are taking her to lunch!  No sense in stopping the party on NYE.  I’ve made a 2012 resolution for her (and for my mother): Wear More Color!  This still incorporates her favorite color, black, but also gives her a fun pop!  Happy BDAY, D!

Ribbon Cutting for Lake Travis School of Fine Arts

At the end of the month my girlfriend will be having a Grand Opening for her new school in Texas, Lake Travis School of Fine Arts.  She needs a “show-stopping” outfit that will last her all day and night through the Open House, ribbon cutting ceremony, and then the opening night party.  I wanted to give her something that was conservative enough for the kids, business professional for the adults, yet still made a “dramatic” statement!

Somewear: Pizza Parlor Opening

My girlfriend’s husband is opening a wood-fired pizza restaurant in St. Louis, Missouri this week.  It’s a pizza place with a grown-up sophistication, so she needs to wear something nice, but not super fancy.  This look is fun, festive, and perfect for a celebration.  The pattern on the dress and the shape of the accessories almost remind me of a burning fire or flickering flame.  Kind of fitting for this type of occasion, right?  If you happen to live in the area, you should definitely check this place out.  I’m sure it’s delicious!
