Somewear: “Special”

My girlfriend recently got engaged atop a mountain in France.  I know- such a blasé location, right?  Anyway, it got me thinking that you can’t always predict where and when you’re going to get engaged and more importantly (for this story, anyway) what you’ll be wearing.

However, there are a few of you out there that may have an inkling, a hunch, a hint, of when this fateful proposal may occur for you.  Now correct me if I’m wrong, but wouldn’t you want to look “unintentionally flawless” if you could predict when it was all going down?  I mean, I know I would and chances are pictures will be taken and history (well, yours, anyway) will be documented.

Just sayin’- think about it the next time your boyfriend of 2+ years wants to take you “Somewear Special”.

Dallasonians: Tomorrow night Circ-Cell Skincare, an up-and-coming luxury skincare brand based in Dallas, is hosting an “Art of Beauty” party to announce the launch of their product within the Spa at the Stoneleigh Hotel. The event will feature renowned works of art from a few of Dallas' private collections for your viewing pleasure, and of course, light hors d'oeuvres and champagne for your eating/drinking pleasure.  For those interested in attending it’s from 5:30-8:30pm tomorrow evening at the Stoneleigh!

Othersonians: This is a killer outfit perfect for any evening out.  I’m obsessed with all things Rebecca Taylor and this dress is no exception.  Plus, she's having a killer shoe and handbag sale with a spend of $350.  Also, Piperlime is offering 20% off today only!

Fashion Cents: Labor Day Shopping For Fall

Fashion Cents: Labor Day Shopping For Fall
I don’t know about you, but I’m over shopping for summer even if it’s all on sale.  While these Labor Day discounts are tempting, I really have fall on the brain.  So, here are some holiday deals I scouted out that can easily be worn into the next season!

Somewear: Chicago (The Musical) at The Winspear Theatre

Going to see an oldie, but a goodie tonight.  Chicago’s in Dallas!  Of course, you know that I’ll be dressing up for the show- jeans just aren’t meant for the theatre.

If you’re in the Dallas area:
the show is running from now until the 26th of August, so hurry before it’s gone! Tickets here!

If you aren’t in the Dallas area: go see a show, anyway!  The theatre is good for your soul.  Also, it gives you an excuse to look fabulous.  Though I’m sure if you follow STB, you already do ;)

Somewear: Wine Tour Through Tuscany

We stayed in Lucca last night and this morning we’re being picked up by a local tour company for a wine tasting day throughout the Tuscany region!  It will be cooler in the morning then should warm up in the afternoon, so layers are essential.  Also, as I’ve said before, a few tastes can equal a few glasses, so flat sandals and berry colored tones can help ease any spills that may occur.

Somewear: Charity Luncheon

This afternoon I’ll be attending Dallas’s 24th Annual Luncheon and Fashion Show benefiting the Children’s Cancer Fund.  There is a live and silent auction, champagne reception and lunch, and a fun-filled fashion show where the children get to walk with local celebs, sports stars, and distinguished sponsors.  This will be my first year attending and I’m thrilled to be a part of it all.  For more info on how to get involved with CCF and their events in the future, check out their website here or “LIKE” them on Facebook here

Boboli Gardens, Florence

My last post on Central Park really got me in the mood for spring and has now inspired me to dedicate the rest of the week to beautiful parks and gardens around the globe.  Today I chose the Boboli Gardens in Florence where I will be visiting in less than a month!  I’m imagining in my near future a breezy sunny day strolling through the gardens with an Italian loaf and various cheese wedges in my tote!

Somewear: Webby Awards at Hammerstein Ballroom

The Gregory Brothers will be receiving an award on Monday, June 13th and Sarah needs appropriate evening attire that’s fabulous enough to accept an award in, yet comfortable enough to last her through the night.  Sarah always looks fabulous in a low cut plunge and this mirror covered maxi seems almost dreamy enough to sleep in, so it should be perfect!  Plus, low heels will make walking up to the stage very stress free.  Can’t wait to watch her live streamed to the whole world next week!
