Somewear: Tootsies Event, June 28th

Somewear: Tootsies Event, June 28th
I hope everyone has voted for me for the Tootsies Blogger Contest.  If not, you still have a chance to right now and if you have already have- well just vote again- VOTE HERE! If you are in the Dallas area, I highly encourage you to come support me on Thursday from 6:30-8:30PM at Tootsies.  There will be a DJ playing sweet tunes, some festive cocktails, and a mini runway show of all the blogger’s chosen looks, and of course, more voting!  I will be there sporting my fun beachy Alexis maxi dress and super fun accessories (Check out the accessories up-close HERE.)  Maybe you could be there wearing this adorable number or just run by Tootsies before the event and pick something up.  They’re having a fab sale!

Somewear: Les Miserables at the Winspear Opera House

I’m going to see Les Mis tonight and I can’t wait!  The music is amazing and I haven’t seen the show in years, PLUS, one of my friends is in the touring company.  I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, you should always dress up for the theatre. Even if you wear pants or a jumpsuit, it needs to be cocktail appropriate.  No jeans, ladies!  If STB has taught you anything, please let it be this.

Rebecca Minkoff Show to US Open Men’s Finals

In a dream world, I would be able to attend both of these events today.  And since this is my fantasy, the cost of this entire number goes out the window.  I think it’s nice when attending shows to wear the designer.  This is chic enough for the RM show, but comfy and casual enough to take me straight to the Nadal/Djokovic match!

Black Tie Rehearsal Dinner at Southern Hills Country Club

My brother-in-law is getting married tomorrow, but tonight is the black tie rehearsal dinner.  I love a good excuse to wear floor length gowns and this one in particular is a stunner.  When it comes to black tie I always say go big or go home!

Cocktail Party for a "Frenemy"

I’m not sure where I come up with this stuff, but sometimes I see a dress and a story begins to evolve.  And even if you think it’s crazy, we’ve all had this scenario pop-up before.  Sometimes you have to begrudgingly attend a party for an ex you’re still civil with, or a co-worker you secretly can’t stand, or even just for your everyday frenemy.  In this situation, it’s vital to look killer.  So why not give them the cold shoulder with style and lace?  I know I would.

American Cancer Society Fundraiser on the Soho House Rooftop

My girlfriend, Mia, is attending an event for the American Cancer Society tomorrow evening, but she’ll be coming straight from work, so she needs something that’s appropriate for day and night. Besides the clutch (which she can simply just throw in a tote), this whole outfit will work seamlessly.  It’ll take her from business meetings in the office to evening cocktails by the pool. It’s sophisticated, yet sexy- just like Mia!
