Somewear: Fashion’s Night Out 101

Somewear: Beating The Heat

Well, I’m somewhat surviving the bike ride.  My legs sort of feel like jelly and I have two more days to go, so who knows if I’ll actually see the finish line. Since it’s a week long ride and camp-out, there doesn’t leave much room for life within the civilized chambers of an air conditioned room, so in preparation of this, I brought really light-weight loose-fitting clothes for any of the post biking activities that might occur, let's say maybe.... watching OKC Beat the Heat!!!!

Somewear: Bullfight Ring in Madrid

My girlfriend is in Spain now!  I’m very jealous- wish I was watching a bullfight!  Since she’ll be watching it in an outdoor ring, I suggest she dress in comfortable, yet adorable layers.  When on vaca I can't resist a fun romper.  They're so easy to pack!

Where to Wear: The Genniva Dress

So, no big deal, Kate Spade named a dress after me and it’s super cute and now on sale!  It’s a great classic black dress that can be dressed up for a cocktail party or can even be worn out to a nice dinner with friends.  I, of course, have one and so should you!  It’s a no brainer LBD which you can wear to so many different places and events! J’adore the Genniva Dress ;)

Somewear: Alexander McQueen Exhibit at the Met

Organized by the Costume Institute, McQueen’s exhibition, Savage Beauty, which runs until August 7th at the Met, showcases over one hundred ensembles and seventy accessories from the artist’s prolific nineteen-year career.  If you are in the city, I would highly recommend seeing it.  And if you do make it, pay a little tribute and dress the part.
