After watching a few episodes (ok all episodes) of these addictive Reality TV music competitions, I’m compelled to throw in a few words of advice for the young ladies out there. Dress your age- stop looking 45 when you’re 22! Easy on the sequins- it’s not a pageant contest or the Oscars- so dress like you’re performing at a concert for millions (because you are). Follow the trends and current styles, but make sure you know what they will look like on camera (tip- sheer is not your friend). And most importantly- know your body type, so you can dress appropriately for your figure (words to live by- super tight is not always right unless you’re a tiny sprite)!
