It’s starting to get cold out there, but in most parts it’s not too terrible.  For 40-50 degree weather, I tend to lean towards my thinner jackets or 3/4 quarter length coats.  You inevitably only get to wear these styles for a few months, so enjoy it while you can!

My girlfriend called last night about what to wear to her baby shower that her college friends are throwing for her.  Since she is adopting, she doesn’t have to worry about finding cute maternity clothes.  With it being a couples shower held at her friend’s home, I told her she doesn’t need to go too dressy.  Wearing a cute top, skinny pants, and boots would be perfect.  She is not a super girly dresser, so I went with a nice mix of feminine and masculine.  I love the frilly lace top mixed with the riding boots and cross-body bag.

I’m back in NY for work for a few days for Lucky Magazine’s annual shopping event, Lucky Shops!  It’s essentially a three day event where designers sell their fall duds at huge discounted prices!  If any of you are in the city I suggest you stop by for some great deals!  In preparation for this weekend’s festivities, I’ll be do some crazy running around: Uptown, Downtown, East Side, West Side!  So, my perfect wardrobe for today: layers, comfy clothes, sturdy boots, and a huge carry-all bag.  I’m tired just thinking about it!
